It's Britney vs. PARAMORE in the final round

NOT Britney vs Hayley.

Something about this banner just really annoys me.  The way it's put together makes it look like the Fuse battle for video of the year is between two female power houses (as illustrated through a fairly gender specific color scheme and tacky use of "glitter" and stars).  I don't care if it's more aesthetically pleasing, thematically coherent, or attention-grabbing to put Britney Spears and Hayley on this banner side-by-side, but the fact of the matter is Paramore is a band.  Josh, Zac, and Jeremy should be on this thing as well.  Plus, let's be real.  Zac has way nicer side swept bangs than Britney does.  (Also, did the people from whatever shoot this photo of Hayley was taken from not think to get the girl some chapstick!? daaayyaaam!)

I wish I could tell you what that thing is, but all I know is that it came out from under a blue tarp tent, clacked it's wooden beak (?) at that mom in the pink jacket, made her laugh hysterically, totally mesmerized one of her sons and completely scared the other one away.

Half-Blood Prince Pushed back to July 17, 2009

"The release date for the sixth Harry Potter movie, 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,' was pushed back on Thursday to July 2009 from its original slot in November 2008" (source).

Wow, on a scale of 1 to Avada Kedavra, this sucks at about an 8. 

It looks like my dream of dressing up and watching the midnight premiere in the UK is completely shattered.  Someone pass me a Butterbeer so I can drink away my sorrows!

Whoever serviced my car must be the shit.

Yes, that's Sir Charles the Hippo all buckled in and ready to go.  (If you don't know who Sir Charles is, he's my official car mascot that I won in one of those claw machines at Norms.  And for the record, yes, he does have nipples, and that's only because Cat put leftover grains of sushi rice on his chest).
