The second I saw this Friendly Fires video premiere last week for their new track Kiss of Life, I tweeted that I was pretty much in love with it and the amount of booty shakin' going on it. Now that I have a little more that 140 characters to work with, I will say that I also love the video for its use of colors (I'm not just talking about Ed Macfarlane's beautiful blue eyes; I'm talking about the vibrant colors of the costumes, the sky, and the sea, from beginning to end) and just how freaking simple it is.
It's basically a video of the dudes having themselves a little dance party on an ocean cliffside with a few of their friends (...who just so happen to make up a drumline). Throughout the video we get scattered close ups of Ed Macfarlane singing, sticks/hands hitting down on a drum & feet shuffling to the beat of the song, and of course Macfarlane completely breaking it down. And while I'm on the subject of that, I think this boy now gets pushed into my top spot for "Person I'd Most Like to Shake It With".
Enjoy your Wednesday, folks!
